29 June 2023 - Visit by Parliamentarians

RIG was delighted to see our Federal Member, Rebekah Sharkie, visit us again.  Rebekah has been to see us many times in the past and this time she was accompanied by the Hon. Milton Dick, speaker of the house of representatives.  It was Milton's first visit to RIG.

Their visit was timely, taking place only a few days after the RIG team had completed the first skin of timber on the hull of Independence. Rebekah presented RIG with a new Australian flag and Milton supplied the coffee with a little bit of help from The Deck Café!
